About Local House Clearances

House clearance across Blackpool and the Fylde coast, with over 15 years of experience and the option to sell your valuable contents rather than pay to clear them.

Local House Clearances covers Blackpool and the Fylde coast. We clear properties of every kind, and where the contents hold value, we buy them, so a clearance doesn't have to be a straight cost to you.

House Clearance, With an Eye for What's Valuable

Most house clearance firms only charge to take things away. We do the clearance, but we also look at what's worth money, because our team has over 15 years of experience clearing and valuing house contents. That changes the deal for you: where the contents are worth more than the cost of clearing them, we pay you, and where some items are worth buying, their value comes off the clearance price.

We cover full and partial house clearances, bereavement and probate clearances, end-of-tenancy and landlord clearances, garage, loft and shed clearances, garden clearances and bulky-item removal. Alongside the clearance work, we buy household contents with value, including vinyl records, video games and consoles, gold and jewellery, collectables, antiques, quality and vintage furniture, tools, artwork and attic finds.

Every property is different, so we look at each one properly rather than quoting a flat rate off a list. You get one clear figure and you know what it covers before anything moves.

What Sets Us Apart

Four things that make us different from an ordinary clearance firm.

We pay for what's worth buying

Most clearance firms only charge you. We look at what your contents will sell for, and where there's value, it comes off your bill or we pay you for it. Clearing a property can put money in your pocket, not just take it.

Over 15 years of knowing what things are worth

The difference between a good clearance and a cheap one is knowing what not to throw away. Our team has over 15 years of experience spotting value in furniture, collectables, tools, jewellery and the things people overlook.

You deal with the people doing the work

The people who look at your contents and make you an offer are the ones who do the clearance. No call centre, no handover, no surprises on the day.

Respectful with sensitive clearances

Many clearances follow a death or a move into care. We work at your pace, confirm authority to clear the property first, and handle the whole thing with care.

How We Work

You get in touch and tell us what needs clearing, with photos if you can. We look at two things: what it takes to clear the property, and what the contents are worth. On bereavement and probate jobs, we confirm you have the authority to clear the property before anything moves.

Then you get one figure. We pay you, it reduces your bill, or it's a straight clearance price. Nothing is removed until you agree the plan. If we're buying, we pay you on the day, before anything leaves the house.

What Happens to Your Things

Items with value are resold. Usable furniture and household goods are reused wherever possible. The rest goes to licensed waste and recycling sites. Nothing is fly-tipped, and nothing leaves without your agreement.

We don't handle asbestos, hazardous waste, chemicals, clinical waste, sharps, gas cylinders or unknown liquids. Those need a specialist, and we will tell you if we spot them.
